I bought this semi precious stones tree from a gift shop in Cape Town, South Africa in 1994. It has been sitting in my display shelf since then. Time flies, 14 years had gone by.......
My favorite tea set, simple and plain in design, but it is also an illustration of beauty and artistry of Chinese culture in motion. It has served me well, I hope it will continue to serve my children many years down the road. With my favorite graded Chinese tea leaves and a pot of boiling water, it has never failed to refresh my body, mind, and spirit. provide.
Found this interesting piece displayed at the Taiping Museum - A howdah. According to the description, the howdah is an ornate carraige positioned on the back of elephant. In the past the Indians depended on elephants for transportation, and their influence on mode of transportation had spread to Siam, and eventually to the penisula Malaysia. This is the only known collection of Howdah in Malaysia. So, please visit the Taiping Museum to have a peek.
